MCTU STRATEGIC VISION
MCTU envisions a society where workers enjoy their rights, have access to social justice and equality and where conditions of work help to eradicate poverty and vulnerability.
MCTU exits to promote the growth of union movements in Malawi thereby contributing to the realization of workers rights, social justice and improved working conditions through education, networking, research, organizing, advocacy, and policy engagement
ACCOUNTABILITY & TRANSPARENCY
all the Program activities and corresponding budget allocated for that particular Programme are transparent. Anyone at any time can have access to this information, if requested. In addition MCTU accounts are audited annually and are submitted to Ministry of Labour and all affiliates at the end of every financial year.
WHO WE ARE
The National Executive Committee manages the day to day activities of MCTU through the secretariat headed by the Secretary General. The National Executive is composed of 5 elected leaders. The supreme body of authority is the Quadrennial Congress which comprises of not less than 100 delegates from all affiliates and meets every four years and it delegates its powers to the General Council which meets three times a year. The Executive Board consisting of 1 representative from each union plus the national executive council which implements the decision of the Council.
